Research Interests

Dr. Singaravelu's research interests are in diluted magnetic semiconductors, rare-earths and transition metals based magnetic materials, magnetic nanoparticles multiferroics, strongly correlated electron systems and single crystals.

Currently, Singaravelu is involved in probing the magnetic and semiconducting properties of ZnO based Diluted Magentic Semiconding (DMS) oxide materials in thin film form. Magnetic and electrical transport properties of our samples are being characterized using a SQUID-Vibrating Sample Magentometer (SVSM) and Physical property measurement systems (PPMS). In addition, Singaravelu is involved in structural characterization by using x-ray diffraction (XRD) and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
